Inspiration
We wanted to be able to make stickers for people without having to share our personal contact information.
What it does
Takes an image you give us and sends it to us to print on a Sprocket sticker printer.
How we built it
Velo by Wix- Pretty website! Upload photos. Also make requests but this one is not fully set up yet. We have a temporary form instead of the partly functional checkout system so you can do multiple at a time.
Domain.com- redirects to our mouthful of a Velo by Wix name using make.hellastickers.tech
(In progress) Azure- Keeps track of orders and displays which ones we have completed. This is currently connected but buggy.
Challenges we ran into
*Sprocket App does not allow us to use their api so we cannot automate the actual printing of it.
*You also cannot download it on a computer
*You seem to be able to have an auto-updating photo gallery, but we could not get this to work. This is probably better long run to prevent the uploading and showing of inappropriate photos. The collection thing wasn't updating properly to make this work for some reason.
*Azure retired the database for mysql server single which was the one we wanted to use.

We got to print stickers for people!
Made a pretty and (semi) functional website!
What we learned
Azure is a pain to connect. We spent a majority of the time trying to do this.
ChatGPT can help us answer questions while coding.
What's next for HellaStickers
Figuring out how to send it to a phone better.
