hoo's available?

  App for when you feel unsafe walking home alone at night, or if you just want to check on your friends.

Inspiration

We do not like walking home alone in the dark, which is especially dangerous as women and as something we do often as students. We wanted to make a solution for this.

What it does

It shows if friends are available, so that you are able to call them. You are also able to see where your friends are located.

How we built it

We used Unity, Visual Studio Code, C#, json, and Google Cloud.

Challenges we ran into

We were unable to use an active map and implement much of our features, but the design still works.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we learned so much about Unity.

What we learned

We learned about Unity development and the struggles of coding when things do not work out during the first try.

What's next for hoo's available?

Implement an active map, working calling feature, and login.
