View photo parameters when uploading any images to flicker?

I've been getting down and dirty with some serious photo parameter comparisons on Flickr, and I need your insights. There are some photos that looks regular but for some reason, they stand out, making them look like they just stepped out of a motherfreakin' blockbuster movie!

So here's the deal: When you're dropping your jaw-dropping shots on Flickr, what kind of photo parameters do you roll with? Are you all about that high-res, no-nonsense image quality, or do you play around with file formats and compression levels before using the image metadata calculators?

Have you ever noticed some serious differences when you mess with those parameters? Like, does switching up the file format or cranking up the compression dial smack your photos with a punch of clarity or screw with the colors in a major way?
