HypeZone is the second screen for sports fans who hate FOMO — it catches every clutch play, wild reaction, and ridiculous meme as it happens.

Inspired by PrizePicks

PrizePicks was a huge reason we built this.

We were genuinely intrigued by their track + challenge — and after talking with a couple of their team members during the hackathon, we wanted to create something that complements their ecosystem: a real-time, fan-first social layer that captures hype while the game is unfolding.

Their app shows how sports can bring people together — and we wanted to build a second-screen layer that adds community, reactions, and personality to those same moments.

What We Built

Real-time moment detection — we detect touchdowns, interceptions, red-zone threats, sacks, game-winning plays, and momentum swings using criticality scoring based on time, down, distance, and score differential
Instant meme & take generation — the AI creates spicy hot takes, memes, and reactions within seconds of big plays — so the feed always feels alive and “internet energy powered”
Live fact-checking & debate settling — claims about records, streaks, player stats, etc. can be @factchecked instantly, settling arguments on the spot
Interactive timeline synced to key moments — every big play is marked and clickable, so you can jump exactly to the moment without scrubbing blindly
AI agents you @mention in the feed — users talk to the Meme Agent, Email Agent, Fact Check Agent, Opinion Agent, etc. like they’re real accounts on the timeline

Gemini Flash + Imagen — text generation + image meme generation in real-time
SportsData.io analysis — play-by-play data feeds into our scoring model for moment detection
