Driven by a shared passion for leveraging AI in education, our team of four embarked on a hackathon journey to revolutionize how learners access information. We envisioned a world where lengthy textbooks, lectures, and videos could be transformed into concise, engaging learning experiences.

Pooling our diverse skill sets, we collaborated on building an AI pipeline that ingested various lengthy media formats such as textbooks and lectures, leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) to extract key insights and generate summaries. We harnessed the power of text-to-speech (TTS) AI engine LMNT to give voice to the summaries and combined them with informative visuals through an AI powered video renderer. The result is an informative video lecture that concisely captures the essence of the original content.

But our vision went beyond content delivery. We integrated question generation and AI-powered grading into the pipeline, allowing users to assess their comprehension and receive personalized feedback. All outputs – video lectures, questions, and feedback – were seamlessly integrated into a user-friendly web application deployed on the cloud.

Throughout the hackathon, we faced challenges as a team, from integrating complex APIs to handling massive amounts of data that resulted in lengthy query times. We tackled each obstacle with collaboration and creative problem-solving, drawing strength from our shared commitment to the project's potential impact. The moments of triumph, when we saw the pipeline seamlessly transform content and the web application deliver a smooth learning experience, reinforced our belief in the power of teamwork and the potential of AI to reshape education.

This hackathon was not just about building a project; it was about proving that a team of passionate individuals could leverage AI to make knowledge more accessible, engaging, and personalized.
