Inspiration

We believe trust should not be taken for granted and so we set out to formulate a mathematically-backed calculation to ensure that continuous honesty is rewarded and incessant notoriety is punished without preventing social connection with strangers.

What it does

Participate in commitments with strangers safely, seeing their InPACT score before agreeing to participate in a commitment. Watch your credibility score rise as you perform tasks in commitments, defining the terms, and successfully carrying out those commitments. Expand your social and professional network beyond 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree connections to discover the annals of social networks.

How I built it

We used Parse for the back-end and data modeling, while using Android and standard Android language features for the actual app's software engineering.

Challenges I ran into

We ran into data consistency issues, but the hardest was creating a fool-proof algorithm to accurately depict a useful credibility score.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Using this platform produces better deals, establishes trustworthy relationships, and opens up markets to growth via organic partnerships and deals

What's next for InPACT

Expanding scores to determine local groups and more user engagements, as well as the refinement of our InPACT algorithm.
