According to Forbes, only 27% of women are in the computer science field and unfortunately that number is not growing by much. Therefore, we were inspired to create an easy to use app that can help female students in high school from ages 14-18 find internships, scholarships, and an opportunity to speak with women in the STEM field in order to obtain professional advice and guidance.
We want to break the barriers between gender gaps, pay inequality, and other factors that deter women from the STEM world. In addition, the key features we are most proud of include our app and website that can source information for the user based on what internships are closest to them and what their stem career choice is [based on their own selection or the intereSTEM quiz]. With intereSTEM, users have the opportunity to experiment and discover what they are passionate about. In short, our mission is to provide the right resources for young women to be successful and realize that the STEM world contains endless opportunities for advancement and personal growth.
