Inspiration

On many occasions it is difficult for people to communicate and begin networking in conferences and career fairs. We realized that the organizers of the events tend to either solve this problem by spending a lot of time on team building activities or they simply leave networking to individuals. Two of these solutions are inefficient as one consumes precious time and effort, and the other fails to consider introverts .

What it does

Our application provides a versatile real-time information tool. Using Augmented Reality (AR), the tool helps people interconnect with each another. This is achieved by providing event specific information of each user connected with the app. All users shall provide a bio of themselves and provide as much information as they like. At the venue, each user will be able to see augmented information of every single app user such as Employment History, and Skill sets. This will ice break conversations, help people match with each other and improve their networking experience.

How I built it

Challenges I ran into

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We are very proud of the developed application. It may impact many people's lives and transform networking outside the scope of the Hackathon. We discovered a gap in the system and found a solution for it- which feels like genuine entrepreneurship.

What I learned

The team learned to quickly adapt and learn new technologies to provide a solution under time-constraints.

What's next for Iris

Given the versatility of Iris, we believe that the idea may be implemented on
