Have you ever been so busy that you don’t have time for menial chores, like laundry? Or have you ever needed help on a project, but didn’t know where to look?
Our team believes that the best resource for help is each other. Inspired by “free and for sale” Facebook pages that facilitate buying and selling objects among peers in college campuses, we decided to make a website that recreates this service, except for small tasks, called TaskMarket.
By logging on with Facebook on the TaskMarket website, a user will be able to upload the tasks in life that he or she wants to outsource to others for a fee. Additionally, the user can seek to make money by viewing a live-updating list of tasks available to accept. Once a task is accepted and approved by the asker, the parties can exchange contact information and further agreements!
Future work— If we had more time, we wish we could do the following: -Implementing a secure payment system on the website, to make task exchanging even easier -Implementing TaskMarket on a mobile platform, so users can easily browse and post tasks away from a computer -Implementing a search bar for tasks, so users can easily search for tasks they are interested in
