Inspiration

During the pandemic, many have become accustomed to a sedentary lifestyle and suffer from a deteriorating mental health. We felt that now, more than ever, students and adults require a platform which combines positivity with motivation.

What it does

Our web app aims to be a one-stop shop for goal-setting & goal-tracking.

How we built it

For planning, we conducted a google form survey. We carefully picked a color scheme and used Figma for architecture (Figma), also hand-drawing the icons ourselves. For development, we used HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and used the pograms Repl.it, Figma (for prototyping), Medibang Paint Pro (for the icons).

Challenges we ran into

Our team had more frontend experience, which resulted in limited code for backend functionality. The limited time also didn’t allow for implementation of most features

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re very proud of the aesthetics of our design, as our coded website was very similar to the original Figma design.

What we learned

We learned a lot of HTML/CSS tools, tips, and tricks, as well as coding for functionality (with JavaScript). We also learned a lot about designing and prototyping and learned what constitutes an aesthetic website.

What's next for KeepGoaling

• Implement a login/sign up feature to track user’s progress
• Rewards system (Partner with local businesses [gyms, coffee shops] to sponsor monetary redeemable rewards)
• Implement “friends” feature for accountability
