Inspiration## Inspiration

The current state of event going is manual & inefficient - distracting both event goers & event hosts from enjoying the event. The state of ticketing and event access is very web2 - it’s annoying and a waste of time. The process is repetitive and cumbersome.. This wastes a lot of everyone’s time.

What it does

Let’s Go is a one-click web3 ticketing platform that aims to make ticketing easier, and more streamlined using the feature we already know and love about ethereum wallets. We hope to minimize information required from the user by doing all of the event ticketing process on chain.

How we built it

We developed our project using Metamask snaps to handle communication from the event organizers to the event goers. Event goers are able to get updates from the event organizers and reminders all from their Metamask wallet.

We are using polygon to mint ticket NFTS to the user’s wallet. We are using an Alchemy RPC to achieve this. We are using IPFS Pinata to host the NFT metadata.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into issues developing our snap tooling. We were able to get the functionality we wanted on the boilerplate, but for some reason we couldn't generate a bundle.js file when we integrated snaps with our front end. We still managed to learn a lot about snaps and get the notification system working, but it was with a very minimal front end.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are super proud of our snap development. The snap notification system is a real game-changer and solves a huge pain point. We loved learning how to use this, and we are excited to explore snaps further as we use them to notify users about on-chain events.

What we learned

We learned MetaMask Snaps which helped us communicate with users in a new way. We also used alchemy for the first time which was much easier to use than expected, and helped us develop on polygon.
