Inspiration

Me and my friends have had our bikes stolen from the ASU campus and know a lot of people whose bikes have been stolen from the ASU campus.

What it does

It provides a one-stop solution for locking bikes on campus by integrating QR-enabled locks integrated within bike stands.

How we built it

Hardware: We built it using Arduino 101 and a stepper motor for the hardware and scrap material for building a prototype (Proof of Concept). Software: We used EC2 for hosting our website, SQS for inter-process communication, and DynanoBD for credential management and storing user data.

Challenges we ran into

Difficulty in setting up Raspberry pir because of which we had to use Arduino because we could not power up Raspberry Pie

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Integrating our web app with AWS services.

What we learned

Hardware-software integration

What's next for LockItUp

For LockItIUp, talk to the ASU administration and figure out how we can help ASU integrate this solution in all their campuses
