In a Customer relationship management team, everyone won't be well versed with the the services that the company is offering. A Llama2 model can be trained with company's previous CRM emails and can act as a mentor for new requests/queries form customers.
What it does
"MailMentor" is a cutting-edge email enhancement tool that seamlessly integrates with Nylas' email features. Its core functionalities include:
AI-Powered Email Analysis: When a user opens an email, "MailMentor" presents an "Analyse with AI" button. Clicking this button opens an input area where users can type questions about the email's content. Once a question is asked, the integrated AI model processes the query and provides insightful responses directly in the input box. Users can ask multiple queries to gain a comprehensive understanding of the email's content.
AI-Generated Email Replies: After reviewing the email and gathering insights, users have the option to request an AI-generated draft reply. The AI suggests a reply based on the email's context and user preferences. Users can then make edits to the suggested response to tailor it to their needs.
Effortless Email Communication: Once the user is satisfied with the AI-generated reply, they can seamlessly send the edited response directly from "MailMentor," streamlining the email communication process.
How can MailMentor be used
Enhanced Customer Support: Within a CRM team, not everyone may have an in-depth knowledge of all the services a company offers. "MailMentor" envisions the use of the Llama2 model, which can be trained on the company's historical CRM emails. This trained AI model can serve as a knowledgeable mentor for team members, helping them respond to new customer requests and queries more effectively.
Onboarding and Training: When new team members join the CRM department, they often face a steep learning curve to understand the company's offerings and effectively communicate with customers. "MailMentor" aims to bridge this gap by providing instant access to the collective knowledge embedded in past CRM emails. New team members can seek guidance from the AI model to respond to customer inquiries accurately and confidently.
Consistency and Expertise: Maintaining consistency and expertise in customer interactions is crucial for building trust and satisfaction. How we built it
"MailMentor" was developed using a combination of technologies:
Nylas SDK and APIs: We leveraged Nylas' SDKs for Python to integrate seamlessly with email features.
Artificial Intelligence: We incorporated a state-of-the-art AI model Llama 2 capable of natural language understanding and generation to power the email analysis and reply generation available in HugginFace spaces.
User Interface: The user interface was designed using react framework by making some edits to the example code provided by Nylas in the documentation.
Challenges we ran into
While developing "MailMentor," we encountered several challenges:
- AI Integration: Integrating the AI model seamlessly into the email client presented technical complexities. I tried running the model locally on my computer it was taking too long to respond. Thus decided to use a HuggingFace Space API.
