Inspiration

This game is inspired by the classic screen and button "masher". I've been fascinated by the sub-Genre of "masher" games and wanted to make a simple, yet intense, fast-paced game along those lines.

What it does

Players must out"mash" their opponents to win! Strategy is involved with the use of boosts to increase your progress on the track!

Challenges we ran into

I decided to pivot from the original game concept that I had been working on to better suit the parameters involved. This put some squeeze on time, but all things considered, I think it was the correct choice.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I think players will have fun with the quirky animations involved in the main racing game mechanic. I've had alot of fun building these and hope others will enjoy them as well.

What we learned

I've learned alot about the new mobile features for grabbables, camera view, action icons, etc throughout this build and look forward to learning more about all of the great new tools available!

What's next for MASHTOWN™

I would like to expand the "Shop" in Mashtown to include other options for players including in-world purchasables, aesthetic options, etc. Also I would like to expand upon the mythos for the Mashtown characters and have a few other game concepts lined up that may end up becoming sister-projects for this game and storyline.
