Inspiration

Our inspiration to build an bb8 droid was kinda wanting to win this contest for 500 bucks..

What it does

The bb8 droid is a robot that is controlled by bluetooth and magnet to guide it to follow he person with the phone and magnets..

How we built it

we first had to plan out an idea of if we wanted to build the body out of plastic or paper mache. once we choose plastic bowls we needed to dribble the bowls to make them into 2 half's. then after we spray painted the body. then we moved on to the building of the car we started by using a gear box kit and using a bluetooth app . then we used our remote control car as a back up .we had to figure out a way to put a magnet in the car so that the head would move with the body.

Challenges we ran into

we couldn't use our head due to gliding issues, then we had trouble with all 3 cars and how they can short circuit and break down. our resources including spray paint were scarce and it was hard to get the bowl to be the right size. or be circular

Accomplishments that we're proud of

we were proud of actually being able to get the car to work and sucseed in the paint job.
