Inspiration

McGill has no easy or accessible organization tool that is specifically for McGill. Freshmen need to find an organization system that works for them as they transition to college life (but it can be helpful for all students).

What it does

Takes in students’ courses, assignments, exams, labs, etc., all inputted from the user. Arranges all inputs on an aesthetically pleasing display.

How we built it

Using Figma, we worked on the design and coded everything else in JavaScript.

Challenges we ran into

We all only had experience in python and had no experience in front-end development, so it was challenging to learn how to code in JavaScript to produce our desired design.

What's next for mcthrive

Our next steps are to expand the app by adding motivational features such as a progress bar and points. We want to allow the user to make an account to save their tasks and expand the features the user can utilize to tag assignments with labels like importance, how early before the due date they should start, etc.
