Inspiration
Our project is inspired by the urgent need to prevent sepsis, a condition often linked to medical errors and negligence. This inspired us to leverage technology to improve patient safety and reduce provider mistakes. While initially focused on sepsis, our goal is to pioneer tech-driven solutions for many other preventable diseases, that empower healthcare professionals to prevent, diagnose, and treat sepsis effectively, ultimately saving lives.
What it does
MedScribe is a comprehensive healthcare documentation system designed to streamline medical records management. This system is divided into two core components: the frontend and backend, offering a holistic solution for healthcare professionals and institutions.
How we built it
We used Next.js with TailwindCSS for styling along with MongoDB for backend.
Challenges we ran into
Unforeseen bugs, lack of time, keeping scope of project realistic.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We tried to establish communication between doctor and patient which is uncommon in the medical industry.
What we learned
We learned the importance of prioritizing tasks and specialized workflows.
What's next for MedScribe
Plan to include features for healthcare providers to further be able to interact with and assist their clients. Long term plans include but not limited to increasing accessibility and providing comprehensive patient data and existing medical history details.
