Inspiration

We have a lot of coffee meetings professionally and casually. Why not earn some tokens and gain some reputation.

What it does

You download the app and connect your Ethereum or Polygon wallet. Every time you meet a friend, you both shake your phones and each gain a "Bean" token. You can also choose to exchange your NFT that has social links or contact info.

How we built it

We built our server on NestJS where 2 people send requests to match and earn Bean tokens. Created an ERC20 Bean tokens, both people that connect receive 1 token per meeting per day. We built an iOS app with SwiftUI to make sure the users were in the same place and shake their phone to connect. We also display the amount of Bean tokens they own in their Polygon wallet.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into an issue with Next JS which we had to debug a lot to find the root cause. Eventually realized it was resetting our data storage, so we had to start using Firebase for matching algorithm.

What's next for Meetn

We want to launch an NFT program for people to send their socials and links via the metadata. We also want to build a game with valuable tokenomics for people to use the Bean tokens they earned.
