Inspiration
Our nephews, nieces, little sibiling and many more lovable and intelligent children that are growing in the era of technology.
What it does
MemoMotion trains toddlers and young kids hand eye coordination and their memory retention with a simple light up game that makes the random sequence of colors harder to remember as they advance levels. MemoMotion includes MemoTalks which is an AI assistant geared for kids in their developmental stage.
How we built it
Raspberry Pi, with python code, and flask front end.
Challenges we ran into
Raspberry Pi not being powerful enough for the things we wanted to implement, led pin lights not working properly,
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The teams decision to try new things instead of sticking to software we decided to delve int hardware coding as well which was a new concept for some of the team mates.
What we learned
How to properly wire a button, use of raspberry Pi, integration of gemini's text to speech
What's next for MemoMotion
MemoMotion will expand to have more interactive and educative games, memoTalks will have an expandable vocabulary and have sopeech as input to help kids pronounce their words better and for kids with speech impediments as well helps them practice. MemoMotion would also add an animal farm style game that associates the sound of an animal to the correct animal
