Inspiration

We were inspired by Insomnia Cookies and how you can get good cookies in the middle of the night. WE hope it encourages people to be more creative with their hangouts, and also find fun ways to destress and improve their mental health.

What it does

Our website is made to help plan slumber parties by listing options for food, snacks, and decorations! We will also generate images based on your selection to give you photos for more inspiration!

How we built it

We built the website using VSCode and hosted it on GitHub pages. We made a ReactJS app and used TailwindCSS to style it. We then used OpenAI and some NodeJS to create the image generator. We also used procreate to draw out all the props and the graphics!

Challenges we ran into

We ran into challenges with getting the image generation to take the items in the shopping cart and make images out of it.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to fix the problems with image generation and even learned new skills like styling with TailwindCSS as it was our first time using it!

What we learned

We learned more about AI and styling as well as collaboration as we all had to use an extension on VSCode to collaborate on the same folder without having to push and pull from main.

What's next for Midnight Munchies

We plan to add more items to choose from when coming up with ideas for a slumber party. We also hope to make customizable prompts beyond what we list in the cart!
