Inspiration
A question that we all could agree that crossed our minds was what did we want to bring to consumers. The audience that we wanted to appeal to are all of the young age groups, Gen Z. We wanted to create apparel that would appear as minimalistic and simplistic because we believed that it would sell to our wanted audience.
What it does
We created a website with scrolling functionality and a showcase of our products.
How we built it
We used HTML and a CSS script to build our website.
Challenges we ran into
Some challenges that we ran into were, first, creating a cart that would not overlap with the images of our products that we were selling. Bryan looked through all of the lines of code to figure out what was affecting it and how. He slowly deleted code section by section in the CSS script to find out where the problem was coming from and he eventually found it as the images' position were set to be absolute. We got the cart to not overlap, however a number of other errors occurred and we were not able to troubleshoot it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Creating an aesthetically pleasing website using HTML and CSS, along with a scroll function using CSS.
What we learned
If something isn't working, break down the code section by section to find out what is affecting it. Review through multiple tutorial videos and troubleshooting. We used trial and error throughout our code.
What's next for MISSO Hackathon
After creating a webpage using HTML and CSS, our interest in coding was sparked. We are looking forward to classes pertaining to coding and future projects.
