What it does

It's an vocal assistant you can control with your voice and that builds news recaps and playlists for you.

How we built it

We created a voice assistant that acts like a news broadcaster. We connected mistral to a news api and spotify so it could fetch live news and create playlist for you.

We used tts to only start passing the message when they hear "hey mixer" first.

We used elevenlabs for STT

Nextjs for the frontend

Doing livestreaming from LLM output to voice API and getting it back

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We didn't use a pre-made voice infrastructure such as retell and vapi. Therefore it is very customizable.
