Inspiration
Laziness. Just too lazy to switch tabs from Discord to web browser to quickly check something. "Here for a good time, not a long time"- 7:18am Jacky
What it does
Originally I wanted the bot to spit out daily information on the news, weather, stocks, and music. However, I was only able to get the stock portion done in time.
How we built it
Using Python on repl.it :)
Challenges we ran into
Did not have enough time to properly work on. I would definitely like to take more time to work on this throughout the year.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Able to implement 2 APIs in one project!!! 2 for one!! WHAT A DEAL!!!
What we learned
Learned how to grab data from APIs with json, and format how it works. Learned how to use requests and responses.
What's next for Monkee Bot
Adding more APIS!! Weather, Music/Spotify song suggester, Meme generator...
