MuseumQuest was built to transform museum exploration from a passive activity into a dynamic, engaging, and intelligent learning experience. Traditional museum apps are static and forgettable, so we reimagined them using AI, gamification, and computational intelligence.

Inspiration

75% of museum visits are forgettable. We built MuseumQuest to change that through gamification.
Museum experiences are often static, text heavy, and easy to forget. We wanted to transform learning into something fun and rewarding... more like a quest than a brochure.
By combining AI, gamification, and interactive design, MuseumQuest makes museum exploration engaging, memorable, and exciting for Gen Z and beyond.

What it does

MuseumQuest turns museums into an interactive digital adventure where users can explore, learn, and play.

Navigate an interactive map with real museums.
Click on any museum to view its name, address, hours, description, and image gallery.
View historical insights such as museum age, founding year events, and geographic facts.
Ask the AI Museum Tour Guide questions about any museum and get instant, intelligent answers.
Take quizzes for each museum and track scores.
Earn collectible stamps, XP, and levels through our Museum Passport system.
Progress from Tourist → Explorer → Curator → Museum Legend.

MuseumQuest combines interactivity, learning, and gamification… all in one smooth experience.

How we built it

Created an interactive interface with museums.
Built a detailed museum modal with descriptions, images, and essential details.
Added Firebase Authentication with user profiles and saved progress.
Developed a Museum Passport system where users earn collectible stamps, XP, and levels.

Challenges we ran into

Getting multiple API keys was challenging, and none of us were familiar with Git documentation or version control workflows, so we had to learn quickly to collaborate properly.
Integrating many different systems (Firebase, Passport logic) added complexity.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Finishing the project within the given time.
We had a solid plan, worked well together, and executed everything effectively.
We’re proud of our teamwork and our ability to balance speed, design, and functionality within just 48 hours.

What we learned

Integrating multiple APIs efficiently.
Collaborating using GitHub and following documentation.
Designing interactive, gamified educational tools.

What's next for MuseumQuest

Adding auto generated quizzes using AI.
Introducing social features such as friends, leaderboards, and shared passports.
Expanding the AI Tour Guide for more advanced real-time Q&A.
Creating AR museum experiences for immersive exploration.
Expanding the map to include museums around the world.
