Inspiration:

Andriana brought us the idea of how monumental the idea of GMOs is becoming in the food industry. We researched what GMO foods are how and why they are important. And we realized that we need to take a stand for this issue.

What it does:

It informs people about what Genetically Modified Foods are, why they are harmful, and what we can do to address the issue.

How we built it:

We built the webpages using repl.it (the online IDE). We first started with one webpage which ended up being our homepage, then we added more pages for a user to navigate. Lastly, we styled everything using CSS.

Challenges we ran into:

We were challenged to look up how to add more webpages and how to work with buttons because we didn't know how to before. We looked it up and kept testing it out to see how it works.

Accomplishments that we're proud of:

We are proud of being able to actually create the webpages, especially multiple webpages, and being able to successfully navigate the basics of making a webpage since we are all pretty much beginners.

What we learned:

We learned the basics of making a webpage, including how to make headers, paragraphs, buttons, and pictures in HTML. We also learned some cool features, such as color gradient and how to style fonts and borders using CSS.

What's next for My first hack:

We want to show people how computer science can be paired with an important issue. We want to inform people about the issue of GMOs.
