A rewards program to incentivize people to get vaccinated, and reward frontline healthcare workers and vaccine volunteers.

Inspiration

Last Monday, Krispy Kreme announced a rewards program for anyone with proof of vaccination against Covid - 19 in the form of doughnuts. This gave us the idea to create a central location for the public to view what rewards they can earn through fighting the pandemic. This includes volunteering to administer the vaccine, getting vaccinated, and being a frontline worker. Companies can post these rewards here to help against the virus.

What it does

MyShot is a central location for helping people fighting against Covid - 19 to view rewards they could earn through their efforts.

How we built it

  • We used Flutter to ship a website, and desktop apps for both macOS and Windows
  • We used App Engine to host our compute
  • We used NodeTS + Express to build our server
  • We used Google Cloud Storage to host our website and our images
  • We used Cloud CDN to make our website run faster

Challenges we ran into

It's Passover, so we were busy most of the day.
