Inspiration
I was inspired by Pokemon cards, because I was thinking about how NFTs were like the new generation of Pokemon cards. I wanted to create a game where people could entertain themselves with their NFT collections.
What it does
My website allows you to buy a collection of NFTs, and then play a memory card game with those NFTs.
How I built it
I used HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Challenges I ran into
I struggled with getting the timer on the game exactly how I envisioned it. I wanted to make the timer show up and start the countdown only after you click the button. After many attempts, I figured out how to write the function correctly.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I am proud of figuring out how to make the timer work for the memory card game, learning how to make the card game itself, and creating my first ever NFTs with my own art!
What I learned
I learned how to use JavaScript through this project. Before, I only knew HTML & CSS. Now I feel more comfortable with all three languages!
What's next for NFT Memory Game
My plan is to create more types of card games for NFTs, like something similar to Pokemon! Also, I want to implement a way for you to connect your own NFT collections and have them show up in the card games, so you don't have to buy the ones I made.
