Inspiration
- Being from a marginalized group in tech I wanted to share about the bias that is available here in the form of pay gap among different genders. ## What it does
- Here users can share their salary anonymously which will help others to judge whether they are paid equally or not. I have also generated data regarding highest, lowest and average salary in a particular domain and the genders that associate with them which will further help in analyzing data associated to that job. ## How we built it
- The project is created using Firebase for the backend, React for the frontend and, Auth0 for user management. It consist of home page, profile page and the form page in which user can share their salary anonymously ## Challenges we ran into
- The main challenge has been time for me. As I was alone and not able to get someone in the team it was really hard for me to complete this. And other than that I have used Auth0 for the first time which was really amazing. I tried to focus on UI/UX which was really hard for me to manage. And also in hurry my functions were not reusable which made the website really hard to manage. ## Accomplishments that we're proud of
- I am proud that I completed this project on time and gave my best to make it platform that could really add value to the community. ## What we learned
- I learnt that I should make the functions more reusable otherwise it would be really complicated to change it all over the website. ## What's next for PayCheck
- I will work more on its UI and also improve the profile page. Make it more functional and a really good project which would really help in analyzing the pay gap among different genders.
