We were inspired by Benedict Cumberbatch's inability to say the word penguin. We wanted to add more penglings to everyone's lives - everyone could use more pingwings in their lives. This app adds an unobtrusive overlay above your other apps which you can tap to expand and interact with your own pingling.
This pingling can show you if you're lacking physical activity for the day, help keep track of what you're eating, and ask how you're feeling.
Your pengwing really cares about you - it will remember what you tell it so you can look back and see patterns in your health. It's hard to see correlations between your physical activity level, food intake, and mood over the past week and that cold that's bothering you today. Being able to look at this data will help you see patterns and put them to your advantage. That's what your pengwing is for!
Everyone is a potential Pengwings user, but specifically, we have targeted Android users who cannot resist the cute and cuddliness on penguins. Consumers have articulated an interest in engaging with cute penguins by watching the Penguins of Madagascar movie to aggregate $82 million in theatre revenue.
Beyond this specific movie, cute animals are rampant in the online world and we believe that there is an untapped opportunity for smartphone users to engage with penguins and cute animals daily.
