Inspiration

We've become much more unmotivated to work on assignments as we hit the mid-semester. Hence why we thought of ways that could possibly get our motivation back. One thing we noticed that would usually lead to us starting on our assignments is when our friends or peers make insane progress on their assignments. This causes a fear of being left behind, which then influences us to start our work.

What it does

The best way to get started on any school assignment is to plan what needs to be done and when. PeerRank is an easy-to-use planner designed to help you keep track of what has already been completed, as well as track new tasks as they're assigned. Our website is designed to motivate you to start on your assignments by tracking your friends' progress on assignments. You can also use your friends’ scores as a metric for determining how much progress you’re making, and you can even ask them to review your work! The site will send you reminders via email before each assignment starts to allow you time to prepare for it.

How we built it

We first thought of the website's design/prototype by using Figma. Next, we built our website using React, HTML, and Javascript. Moreover, we used Discord as a means of communication.

Challenges we ran into

We initially had a difficult time utilizing React for our website, but eventually through heavy research and help we were able to finish our website.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Being able to think of this idea and finish the website was a huge accomplishment for us as it initially looked like an idea that seemed difficult to complete in less than 2 days.
