Inspiration
Many people have trouble dating, either they don't have the time for it or unsure of how to plan for dates. With our website, PlanIt Date, users are given the opportunity to alleviate the stress of planning a date. PlanIt Date will plan your date based on your location, food preferences, and more!
How we built it
This website was built using javascript, HTML, and CSS. Our frontend team created the design, the flow. and the layout of the website. Our backend team created scripts to request and send information to and from the yelp API and our frontend form.
Challenges we ran into
Most of our team are only just learning javascript in our courses, so this was our first time creating a dynamic website. Creating the flow and design of our website proved to be a time-consuming task. Additionally, some of our backend team had difficulty learning express and javascript.
We ran into many obstacles - some we were able to conquer and others we were not. However, we will continue to move forward with this project and ensure the communication between the users and our scripts.
What's next
Our next steps with this project are to create a fully functioning website. We want to improve the usability of our site as well as add more filters and features. We also want add more helpful information that every dater wants to have such as outfit ideas, conversation starters, and more.
