Inspiration

Podcasters could possibly jump between 5+ different tools: design apps for covers, audio tools for clips, social media schedulers, and separate analytics platforms. Which could break their creative flow. When I discovered Adobe Express's Add-on ecosystem, I thought what if I could fix this by putting everything in one place?

What it does

Podcast Kit is an Adobe Express Add-on that brings all podcast content creation into one workspace:

Visual Tab: AI-powered episode cover generation with customizable templates and brand assets that go straight onto your Express canvas. Audio Tab: Automatic audiogram creation with AI captions, perfect for social media clips. Analytics Tab: Turn your podcast metrics into nice-looking charts and graphics for sharing. AI Chat: Smart assistant that finds quotable moments from your episodes and suggests content ideas.

Everything integrates directly with Adobe Express, so your covers and graphics appear right on your canvas no more copying and pasting between apps.

How we built it

I built this using Adobe Express's Code Playground, which let me test everything directly inside Express.

Challenges we ran into

Tight Space: Designing for such a narrow panel while keeping everything usable was tricky. Had to really prioritize features.

Feature Creep: Wanted to include every possible tool but had to stay focused on the core workflow.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • An UI that worked well in the Express Environment
  • To address the whole workflow and not just one piece

What we learned

This project taught me how awesome platform-specific development can be.

I also learned a lot about understanding actual user workflows, not just what tools people need, but how they move between tasks.

What's next for Podcast Kit

I'd love to build this properly with Adobe's full SDK.

Main goals would be:

  • Hook up real AI services for content generation
  • Maybe build a template sharing system

Basically just want to make podcast content creation super easy within Adobe Express:)
