The populeyes team

The idea for populeyes spun from our team's mutual love of travel. We wanted to learn about APIs, use microservice architecture, and gain more experience using javascript, angular.js, and html/css, so we tailored our project around what we could learn. We had an awesome time learning these languages outside of class, gaining experience with API end points and JSON, as well as using git and utilizing the GForge API. We're excited to build our html/css framework further by utilizing bootstrap, and sharing it on github pages (which we learned about in a tech talk). This was the very first hackathon for two out of three members, and we're proud of what we could learn and accomplish over the weekend. :)
