Inspiration
To educate people going through medical procedures about the aftercare required.
What it does
Uses interactive and engaging mini-games to teach patients about taking care of themselves after their medical procedure
How we built it
Using Unity, C#, Blender
Challenges we ran into
Our challenges included trying to render the environment at a similar pace to the movement of the player. This was more complicated after we expanded the variety of obstacles on Saturday.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We created a game in Unity with little prior experience. We utilized various 3D models as interactive textures.
What we learned
We learned how to simulate movement and obstacle collision in Unity with C#.
What's next for Project Aftercare
Ideally, being funded and then used by hospitals across the world to help engage patients in learning about how to properly care for themselves post-operation.
