Do you care about the inclusivity of the streamers and the viewers of every stream? With ProSearch you can be informed of someones preferred pronouns in chat as well as the streamer themselves.

Inspiration

Just recently we realize how inclusiveness has made a huge impact for many different communities and wanted to bring that to the twitch platform

What it does

A streamer can input this video component to show their preferred pronouns and also have the viewers able to look up everyone else in chats preferred pronouns.

How we built it

We built this using the developer ridge that the Twitch dev team provided for us as well as Firebase for the back-end and HTML/CSS/JavaScript for the front-end.

Challenges we ran into

The Developer ridge was quite challenging to navigate through but we just had to give it an intense troubleshoot

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The opportunity to be out here with so many ambitious hackers and hopefully leaving an impact on the Twitch community.

What's next for ProSearch

Next up, We would want to extend to the char box to display pronouns as well as optimizing inclusivity for Twitch.
