Inspiration
All poll sites are old and ugly, they also charge absurd amounts of money for mediocre services
What it does
Allows the user to make and share quick polls
How I built it
In Amazon Web Services' Cloud 9, I created a node.js work-space to develop it. Then created the restful routes, then the fronted and finally the android app
Challenges I ran into
Semantic UI is unreliable at times and mongo db had compatibility issues. Also Mongoose is very unforgiving with typos or any mistake whatsoever.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Used Semantic UI appropriately and cleanly. Made the Android app using web-view on Android Studio.
What I learned
How Android's web-view works, data association saves years of time, and simple ideas are worth developing
What's next for Quick Opinions
Add features like anti spam filters, ip blocking and timers to go ahead of every other poll web application out there.
