Inspiration
I bike to my school everyday, and everyday, I forget to text my mom that I got there safely, which ends up with me getting a lecture. Everyday. Like clockwork. So I needed to create something that would do it for me. That's how I came up with Reach'd
What it does
Reach'd uses geofences, a virtual boundary placed on a map; so when you reach or leave your destination, Reach'd can automatically text your friends and family that you have gotten where you need to go — no hassle.
How I built it
I used Swift to create the iOS app, and I used the textbelt RESTful api to automatically send text messages.
What's next for Reach'd
-[ ] Favorite contacts to send your messages to -[ ] Timed reminders, for example let you know each morning at 7:00 to set up your message with 3 clicks and be ready to go -[ ] Push notifications
Built With
- geofence
- http
- iphone-sdk
- swift
- textbelt
- xcode
