Our team, the Hershey Girls Who Code club, found a statistic that said that 92% of people working with computers were men. We decided to change that and built the app "Ready, Set, Hack!" to encourage girls to code by telling about careers, and women in coding who engineered their future.

"Ready, Set, Hack!" has 4 main pages. The home page, featuring Octacat, the careers page, the women in tech page, featuring ten talented women who code, and the engineer your future page, which has resources that allow you to pursue your coding dreams.

Each girl made a page and we all researched to find information about careers and coding. We used thunkable, an app building website, to make the app.

We had problems with screen design and placement.

Our team is proud of our teamwork and actually getting the app to work.

Our team learned how to successfully build a functioning app and that teamwork makes the dream work.

We will work out the rest of the kinks in "Ready, Set, Hack!" and will add more women, resources, and tech. Our team will also work to change that 8% of women working in technology to 50% of women working in technology.
