Inspiration
Driven by the desire to make rehabilitation a more positive and enriching experience for children, our project leverages the power of virtual reality to transform traditional rehab into an engaging and educational journey. By integrating innovative VR technology, we aim to provide children with the tools they need to develop new skills and continue their education, fostering a sense of normalcy and excitement during their recovery process.
What it does
Our VR game immerses children in educational experiences, promoting cognitive and motor skill development, while the web app tracks and displays their progress for caregivers and educators.
How we built it
We used Unity for the VR game development and React + Django for the web app. The VR game was designed to engage children in solving problems interactively, and the web app displays their progress.
Challenges we ran into
We faced challenges with integrating VR interactions smoothly and ensuring accurate data synchronization between the VR game and the web app.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully created an engaging VR environment and a functional web app that tracks and displays user progress, providing valuable insights for caregivers.
What we learned
We learned effective techniques for VR development, data synchronization between different platforms, and the importance of user-centered design in educational tools.
What's next for RehabQuest
Next, we plan to expand the range of educational activities in the VR game, enhance data analytics in the web app, and potentially seek partnerships with educational and rehabilitation centers.
