Inspiration

My inspiration was Beyonce! Flawless Hacks gives me the inspiration to choose anything that is fun and exciting. I chose Beyonce lyrics as my filler for the tweets that would be composed. And Amazon Alexa, wanted it to be a girls thing (pun). I was inspired to use my Echo Dot which would make my hack into a hardware and software hack.

What it does

Using the twitter and Alexa api, it generates random tweets and speaks them when you ask it too. When you say "Alexa, tell me a tweet", she will say a tweet that will generally be composed of Beyonce's songs.

How I built it

I set up the twitter bot and used the endpoints of the API to add to the Amazon Alexa Account. once this was created, I used a Alexa API to prebuilt app and connected it to the twitter app.

Challenges I ran into

There was many challenges I ran into such as how to configure the data for the echo to speak twitter language. It was a challenge but I had mentors that were able to help me out.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I am proud to have finished it! I did want the development to be far more advanced but for times sake I was able to deliver what I intended the Echo Dot to do.

What I learned

I learned many things that included me to work on my own. I learned to organize time and how to carry out each part of the project.
