Inspiration
Working on the riddles and puzzles from the hackathon was an inspiration for having something quick to use. Inspiration from Mathematica and IPython notebook interfaces as well.
What it does
Supports basic TeX rendering and expression evaluation using contentEditable with react.js.
How we built it
Ran across Facebook's draft.js library which had several examples that looked promising.
Challenges we ran into
Unfortunately, Facebook's documentation for draft.js is somewhat sparse. react.js and webpack in general are difficult to setup.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Developing a first look at something that can be further expanded in numerous directions.
What we learned
Even when libraries look like they offer exactly what you're looking for, sometimes documentation can start to lack when you use them in ways that might not originally thought of.
What's next for rho
Developing an expressive programming language to use in the future for anything day to day.
