Inspiration The prizes

This is a response to the tragic loss of a dear Venus Fly trap that was killed due to poor environmental conditions, more specifically the change in humidity for the fly trap. With this project, we can monitor and preserve different species and organisms for small spaces.

What it does

The devices senses minor changes in both the humidity and temperature in the surrounding environment. Once the humidity changes by a 15% increment a new light will turn on, and the sensor will give a reading on a computer of that change.

How we built it Work

We built the project with an Arduino, resistors, sensors, and a lot of coding.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into a wiring issue at first and then we ran into a coding issue. The sensor's increments were too high to get a specific reading so we had to lower it to a percentage of 15.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Once we got the project lighting up we were ecstatic!

What we learned

We better understood Arduinos and circuitry.

What's next for

I believe if we make the project more robust. We could provide a sensor that manages environments on in planetary bodies or interstellar missions, where they require minimum space and high inspection.
