A sugar-intake calculator was an idea one of our members had in mind for a while, due to their father being affected by type-2 diabetes. We decided to make it a convenient mobile app that people could use to input what food they eat as they eat it. They could then see their totals at the end of the day, week, and even month, making it easier to track how much sugar they consume.
The app was made in Android Studio using Java. Information on how much sugar each food item has is taken directly from the USDA National Nutrient Database.
