Inspiration

I lot of people don't have easy access to Medicinal information. To help health literacy we wanted to help those who are lost in the dark.

What it does

This app will help remind people when to take in medicine and implement a schedule. The app also informs users on medicinal applications.

How we built it

We used react.js typscript to build a web application

Challenges we ran into

We wanted to do more with openFDA api to help users search for pills and give drug information to users like dosage, side effect, and etc. However we couldn't figure out how to get the data that we sent to the backend to mongodb.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of effort that we put into this project. This was our first hackathon and it was a wonderful experience. Even though we couldn't get all of what we wanted to accomplish we were able to show a demo version of what it could be.

What we learned

We learned a lot about time management. We learned how to quickly create the frontend and to effectively use git with minimal errors.

What's next for Rxplain

We hope to potentially get the api to work and expand our work to continue our application.
