We noticed that despite a global pandemic, there's a very noticeable trend of people wanting to go out on vacation/travel the world. While we can't in good faith advise people to go on vacation at the moment, we certainly can help people save money for such a trip once things return to relative normalcy.
Introducing SaveFLY.
We built SaveFLY as a budgeting app that helps you save up your money, with the eventual goal of going on that vacation you've dreamed all quarantine about.
We built it with Flutter- Google's UI toolkit for android/ios development, written in the dart language. We also utilized Capital One's Nessie API to replicate user purchases and to test our app.
While we did have some elements that worked, towards the end we ran into some very large problems and were unfortunately not able to launch a complete, cohesive app. However, we still have a partially working product and hope to come back and add more to it in the future.
