Inspiration

 Our team came up with the idea of making a transit app because many people used bicycles at UCSB. People forgot where their bikes parked sometimes. Also, many UCSB students who live outside of campus often ride buses as their transportations. Therefore, we decided to create an app related to transportation.

What it does

 Our SBTransit app indicates the bikes and cars' parking lot, saves the locations of your parked bikes, shows the direction and amount of time to get to the next class either walking or biking.

How we built it

 We used Swift in XCode to build the app. 

Challenges we ran into

 We want to optimize the battery usage for this app in the background. The route for two destinations in campus cannot be optimized with MapKit. 

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Real-time buses to be displayed in our app. 

What we learned

Better teamwork experience and how ideas are created in a group. 

What's next for SBTransit

We would like to cooperate with UCSB and add our courses on this app such that we can direct each student to their every course.
