Inspiration

What inspired us is the difficulty to find a good spot to study with friends, especially during exam season when the library is packed and the cafeteria, too noisy

What it does

Scalendar provides an easy way to reserve classrooms for you and your friends, by blocks of 2h, to have the quietness of a classroom and the space and privacy that comes with being alone in it. Simply by clicking on the day you want to study, choosing a time frame and a classroom

How we built it

We built Scalendar usign Firebase for the backend and SvelteKit + Melt + Tailwind for the frontend.

Challenges we ran into

Our database got overloaded 3 hours before the submission deadline.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This was our first time experimenting with Melt, and we are proud of how the UI turned out! Plus, we are very proud of our authentification process involving google.

What we learned

We learned how to use Melt to create better UIs.
