The major problem facing the entertainment industry today is the encroachment of artificial intelligence into the roles of human actors on the big screen. This has lead to a lot of disagreement about the role of artificial intelligence in creative spaces, but SceneBuddy shows how artificial intelligence and human actors can work together to provide everyone, both actors and audience members with a better experience.
Our app, SceneBuddy, allows actors to practice their role with an artificial intelligence costar to avoid the hassle of finding another actor trained to emote and respond to, giving them the freedom to practice their lines whenever and wherever they need to.
Actors only need to input their script and the role they want to practice and then SceneBuddy can respond to their lines with an emotive and responsive voice. We believe the SceneBuddy shows the path forward for the entertainment industry as a whole as a unification of artificial intelligence and human creativity for the benefits of audiences and actors.
