Inspiration

Two members of our team have previously worked in marketing teams and repeatedly faced the same problem: an overwhelming amount of fragmented information spread across ad platforms, newsletters, competitor websites, and reports. This made it difficult to gain a clear, timely view of what was happening in their market and how their brand was performing in comparison. Scouta was born from that frustration and the desire to have a single, structured place to monitor the competitive landscape.

What it does

Scouta provides marketers with a unified view of their competitive environment. It consolidates data on competitors’ Meta ads, Google ads, email marketing activity, and product sales / discounts across selected markets. By bringing these signals together, Scouta helps users quickly understand who is advertising what, where they are active, how they communicate, and how their commercial activity evolves over time.

How we built it

With blood, sweat, tears and a week of sleepless nights. Lovable and ChatGPT were also a big help.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main obstacles we encountered was access to the Meta Ads Library API, which requires a registered legal entity, limiting what we could implement within the hackathon timeframe. We also faced a last-minute communication bug between our Google Ads data and the database layer, which restricted how much live data we could reliably display. These constraints forced us to focus on core flows and design for scalability once those access and integration issues are resolved.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are particularly proud of producing a coherent pitch video that clearly tells the story of Adas and demonstrates the value of Scouta in a real-world context. On the product side, we built an almost fully working prototype with only a few remaining bugs to fix. Throughout development, we also validated the idea with marketers, gathering feedback that confirmed the need for better, centralized competitive and market monitoring.

What we learned

During this process, we learned how to rapidly design and ship a functional web product under tight time pressure. We improved our skills in fast, structured website building, integrating multiple data sources, and turning vague pain points into a tangible product experience. We also gained a deeper understanding of how marketers think about competitive intelligence and what kinds of insights are most actionable for them.

What's next for Scouta

Our next steps are to establish a legal entity, enabling full integration with the Meta Ads Library and other restricted APIs. We plan to expand Scouta’s coverage to include TikTok ads and additional channels, while continuously enriching a large, structured database of marketing activity across markets and categories. Over time, this will allow Scouta not only to monitor competitors, but also to deliver increasingly powerful benchmarks, trends, and predictive insights.
