Inspiration
Chegg's Citation Machine is great, but is PACKED with ads. There has to be something better.
What it does
SimpleCitation is a free, simplistic, ad-less citation maker.
How I built it
I built it using basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript sprinkled with a bit of API request knowledge.
Challenges I ran into
Originally, I tried to implement an AI to do the citation, but it just wasn't good enough. For this reason, I used an external API.
Accomplishments that I proud of
I am proud that I made an actually useful thing that I will definitely use in school.
What we learned
AI's power is limited in anything just under the surface.
What's next for SimpleCitation
I don't really know what to add as I want to keep it simplistic.
